Hello friends and fans of White Tree Fine Art/UAF!* This is Nikki and Ethan White of White Tree Fine Art and Urban Art Farm. We have made it to the Finals on Paula Adduls new television show Live to Dance on CBS!!!! We want to thank all of you who took the time to vote for us and who showed their support for ballet on National TV. With the success of all the dance shows on TV now, dance is more popular than ever and the mainstream American television audience is primed to become patrons and supporters of ballet and concert dance. Having ballet represented on this national platform is crucial to growing and developing new audiences as well as inspiring people from young dancers in training and professional dancers to people who have never taken dance classes but have always wanted to or who have left dance and want to start again. We will be performing Live this Wednesday, February 2nd , at 8/7c on CBS. Please watch and if you feel moved then please vote for us White Tree Fine Art after the show. Every single vote counts! The winner of the competition and $500,000 is decided entirely by audience vote. Hello friends and fans of White Tree Fine Art/UAF!* This is Nikki and Ethan White of White Tree Fine Art and Urban Art Farm. We recently auditioned for Paula Abdul's new television show Live to Dance on CBS! We auditioned in the contemporary ballet category, and feel that it is very important and exciting to have ballet and concert dance represented on such a large national platform. With the success of all the dance shows on TV now, dance is more popular than ever and the mainstream American television audience is primed to become patrons and supporters of ballet and concert dance. Having ballet represented on this national platform is crucial to growing and developing new audiences. Dancers like Melissa Sandvig and Danny Tidwell have raised the profile of ballet and have helped to educate and inform the mainstream audience. Now when we go to schools to do lecture demonstrations the kids all know that ballet training will help the execution of every other dance form. The competitive aspect of these shows has undoubtedly contributed largely to their success and we know many professional dancers disregard these shows because of their commercial rather than artistic focus. Paula Abdul's new show Live to Dance, starting January 4th and 5th at 8pm on CBS, allows dancers to present their own choreography and artistic vision. This allows a more artistic and less competitive focus to the show. We think Live to Dance is taking another step towards developing a more educated, arts appreciating audience. We hope you will watch the show and vote for what moves you!
